BOARD OF CERTIFICATION FOR EMERGENCY NURSING LAUNCHES EMPLOYER EXAM VOUCHER PROGRAM

Oak Brook, IL (January 27, 2017) – The Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN®) has launched the employer exam voucher program, Yes YOU Can!, and is available now.

According to BCEN Director of Strategy and Operations Brigid Flood, the Yes YOU Can! program is a cost-saving, easy to administer and hassle-free program designed to support hospitals in reaching their department goals for the certification of nurses who practice across the emergency nursing, and trauma nursing care continuums.

Flood said this simple online process for purchasing the cost-effective, volume-based exam vouchers allows administrators the option to hand out the vouchers to any eligible RN. Vouchers are valid for 12 months after date of purchase and can be used for Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN®), Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN®), Certified Transport Registered Nurse (CTRN®) and Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN®) certification exams.

To get started and obtain the voucher toolkit, hospital administrators can visit the Yes YOU Can! Webpage {need url} to submit an inquiry form. BCEN staff will mail the easy to follow toolkit explaining the program and next steps for receiving the vouchers.

The Yes YOU Can! Program, in development since June 2016, is founded on research and feedback from a diverse group of hospitals and health systems who participated in the pilot phase of the program.  This highly anticipated program  is now available to all health care facilities seeking to encourage and support the certification of their emergency nurses, flight and ground transport nurses, and trauma nurses.

“Utilizing this program to efficiently support the certification of emergency nursing staff is the perfect way for hospitals to distinguish both their individual nurses and their departments, and stay competitive in a crowded health-care market,” stated Sandra Samargis, Executive Director of BCEN.
