While the need to transfer patients to a higher level of care is common, it is not without risks. Based on the interactive online course Interfacility Transport: An Introduction for Emergency Nurses, this article highlights the questions trauma and emergency nurses should ask to prevent avoidable problems when preparing a patient for an interfacility transport.
