Nominate Your Emergency, Trauma, Transport or Burn Facility or Health System for BCEN’s 2026 National Certification Champion Award
Annual Award Recognizes Organizations’ Commitment to Nursing Specialty Excellence Across the Emergency Spectrum
WHAT: With its annual National Certification Champion Award, the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN) recognizes emergency care facilities and health systems that:
- Exemplify excellence in supporting RNs and APRNs who pursue any of BCEN’s six national board certifications
- Show achievement in designing and implementing effective and innovative practices and programs that encourage, support, and recognize nursing specialty certification across the emergency spectrum
- Demonstrate the impact of a board-certified emergency, trauma, transport and burn nurse workforce on patient, nurse and organizational outcomes.
BCEN is now accepting nominations for the 2026 National Certification Champion Award.
One national winner will be selected in the following categories:
- Small Healthcare Facility
- Large Healthcare Facility
- Health System

WHO: Hospital-based and freestanding emergency departments (EDs), trauma centers, flight and/or critical care ground transport programs or bases, burn centers and burn center networks, and health systems are encouraged to apply.
To be eligible, organizations must be actively engaged in supporting their RNs and APRNs to earn and maintain BCEN certification(s) and serve as a model for advancing specialty board certification.
WHEN: Nominations are due by Friday, June 26, 2026, at 4:00 pm CDT.
