Nominate a Healthcare Organization for BCEN’s 2024 National Certification Champion Award

Hospital-based and Freestanding EDs, Trauma Centers, Medical Transport Programs, and Health Systems Are Invited to Apply Starting June 1

 

WHAT: With its annual National Certification Champion Award, the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN) seeks to recognize organizations that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to supporting emergency, trauma and transport nursing specialty certification. More than 50,000 nurses around the world hold a BCEN national board credential in emergency, pediatric emergency, trauma, flight and critical care ground transport nursing.

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2024 BCEN National Certification Champion Award in three categories:

    • Small Healthcare organization
    • Large Healthcare organization
    • Health System

WHO: Hospital-based or freestanding emergency departments (EDs), trauma centers, flight and/or critical care ground transport programs or bases, and health systems are encouraged to apply. (Burn centers will be eligible in a future year.)

To be eligible to be nominated or self-nominate, facilities and organizations must be actively engaged in supporting their RNs and APRNs to earn and maintain BCEN certification and serve as a model for advancing specialty board certification.

WHEN: Nominations will be accepted from June 1 – July 15, 2024 by 11:59 pm CDT.

Following the announcement of the 2024 National Certification Champion Award winners in September, BCEN will honor the recipients with a celebration to be held at their facility.
