BCEN officially announces the development of its 6th nursing specialty certification—the Certified Burn Registered Nurse (CBRN)—for registered nurses working across the burn care continuum and the start of the burn nursing role delineation study (RDS) survey.

BCEN announces the call for nominations for all 5 BCEN 2022 Distinguished Awards and debuts new icons for each award, with all submissions due February 28 and winners to be announced in April. For the first time, winners will receive a commemorative pin and be honored with a special workplace-based celebration.

BCEN launches the BCEN Learn Live conference. The inaugural conference will be held in May 2022 in Orange Beach, Alabama. A second 2022 conference will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada in November 2022.
